Bannock Recipe Ingredients

  1. 3 cups regular flour.
  2. two tbsp baking powder.
  3. 12 cup water 1 teaspoon salt.
  4. 14 cup melted butter.


Bannock Recipe Instructions

  • In a large mixing basin, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Pour the melted butter and water over the flour mixture. To form a ball, stir with a fork.
  • Put the dough out onto a lightly floured board and knead it gently 10 times. Pat into a 3/4- to 1-inch-thick flat round.
  • Heat a frying pan with butter over medium heat.
  • Cook until the dough is browned, about 15 minutes per side, in a heated pan. For simple rotation, use two lifters.


Note:

  • The bread can alternatively be cooked at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 to 30 minutes on a prepared baking pan.
