Ingredients Crock Pot Banana French Toast Creamy
- 1 (10-inch) French baguette that has been stale (about a day or two old) and sliced into 1-inch slices.
- 4 ounces of room-temperature cream cheese.
- 2 bananas and some more for serving.
- 3 big, gently beaten eggs.
- 1-2 cups of milk.
- 4 ounces of light brown sugar.
- 12 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
- a dash of nutmeg and one teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
- 2 tablespoons of butter, thinly sliced.
- optional half a cup of pecans for serving.
- optional maple syrup for serving.
Methods How To Make Crock Pot Banana French Toast Creamy
- A 6.5-quart (or bigger) crock pot should be greased with butter or cooking spray.
- All bread pieces should be covered in cream cheese on both sides. Layer the bread slices in a single layer on the bottom of the crock pot.
- Two bananas should be mashed in a large mixing basin before being blended with beaten eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Bread slices should be submerged in the milk mixture after being poured over them. Let the mixture rest for 30 minutes or for up to 5 hours.
- The liquid should only go about three-quarters of the way up the bread pieces, not completely covering them. Add extra liquid if it is lower.
- Place butter slices on top of the bread.
- Cook covered for 3 to 3.5 hours on Low or 2 to 2.5 hours on High.
- Remove the cover; add chopped pecans, maple syrup, and fresh banana slices as garnish.
- To keep it warm, set the dial to “WARM,” otherwise serve right away.
